From the perspective of supply and demand in domestic and foreign markets, rosin resin is basically produced according to the specific technical requirements of downstream customers, and the production model is based on sales, so supply and demand are basically balanced. With the rapid development of downstream applications in recent years, the demand for rosin resins has maintained steady growth. The main downstream applications and demand of domestic rosin resin are as follows:
1. Adhesive industry
Adhesives are not only used in people's daily life, but also widely used in industrial and agricultural production, such as building decoration, furniture, automobiles, agricultural machinery, light industry, clothing, shoemaking, printing and binding, electronics, shipbuilding, aerospace, machinery Manufacturing and other fields have become indispensable and important chemical products in modern industry, agriculture and daily life. Rosin resin plays the role of increasing initial adhesion, improving bonding force, improving fluidity and prolonging opening time in adhesives. It is widely used in hot melt adhesives (such as EVA, SBS and SIS), pressure sensitive adhesives and solvent adhesives (such as SBR rubber type, natural rubber type and acrylic type). The adhesive field is the broadest application field of rosin resin and has broad market prospects. This also attracts multinational companies in the adhesive industry (such as Henkel in Germany, Fuller in the United States, French Bosco, etc.) to strategically transfer related production capacity and technology to China. From 2006 to 2014, China's adhesive production increased from 2.8 million tons to 6.73 million tons, with a compound annual growth rate of 11.57, of which 2013 and 2014 increased by 9.05 and 10.03 respectively over the previous year. Production of adhesives in China from 2006 to 2014
2. Coatings industry
Rosin resin products are mainly used in the paint industry for road marking paint and wood coatings/paints. The domestic coating industry is growing at a faster rate. In 2009, China's coating production surpassed the United States for the first time and ranked first in the world.
From 2006 to 2014, China's coating production increased from 3.524 million tons to 16.4819 million tons, with a compound annual growth rate of 15.85, of which in 2013 and 2014, respectively, compared with the previous year, an increase of 2.48 and 26.46.
3. Ink industry
Ink is an important raw material for printing materials, rosin resin in the ink industry is mainly used for vehicle and enhance its adhesion, the use of concentrated in the paste ink and offset ink, the main role is to make the ink in the printing dry after the formation of a certain strength of the film, and the pigment protection, making it difficult to fall off. Rosin resin-based ink resins are mainly divided into two categories: one is phenolic modified rosin resin, which is mainly used for offset printing ink, printing books and magazines, advertisements, product manuals, pictorial and newspapers, etc. The other is maleic acid modified rosin resin, which is mainly used for water-based ink, printing such as corrugated boxes, cigarette packs and other packaging. The first type of market volume is larger, the second type is relatively small. The world's leading ink manufacturers since the late 1980 s began to invest capital and technology in China, the establishment of production bases and expand its product market, so that China's ink industry structure has undergone changes, product structure has been adjusted and innovation, improve the ink production capacity. In recent years, with the great development of China's printing market, China's ink manufacturing industry has developed rapidly. In 2010, the total output of national ink exceeded Germany and Japan for the first time, second only to the United States, ranking second in the world. From 2006 to 2014, China's ink production increased from 300000 tons to 700000 tons, with a compound annual growth rate of 11.17 percent, of which in 2013 and 2014, respectively, compared with the previous year, an increase of 8.06 percent and 4.48 percent.
